Junction is the world biggest Hackathon hosted each year at Aalto University in Espoo. Out of 1500 participants from all over the world at Junction 2017, only 12 teams were selected by judges who were the track winners starting from various domains ranging from intelligent building, smart city, mobility to space. We were space track winners with prototype “Bioplanner” .
Junction 2017 unleashed for us the innovation in space technologies that we are stepping in a new era of free, assessable, close to real time data coming from Copernicus satellites – the most ambitious space observation program to date. Copernicus sentinels monitor land, marine, atmosphere, climate change and emergencies data close to real time and provide the information of the health of our planet.
Thanks to space track and Junction 2017, we found out that earth observation data can be used not only by government organisations but it is accessible free of charge for various business applications or anyone interested in Space.
So, we love space and we love software why not to combine it in developing software data products for various business application.
